Baked or Grilled Salmon with Lemon Dill Sauce

Ingredients

For the Salmon:

  • 4 salmon fillets (6 oz each)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 lemon (sliced for garnish)

For the Lemon Dill Sauce:

  • 1 package Bear Hug Foods Delicious Dill Dip Mix
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tsp lemon zest
  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh dill (optional for extra freshness)

Instructions

1. Prepare the Lemon Dill Sauce:

  1. In a bowl, combine the Delicious Dill Dip Mix, sour cream, mayonnaise, lemon juice, and lemon zest.
  2. Mix well and chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.

2. Prepare the Salmon:

Option 1: Baking

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Place salmon fillets on a lined baking sheet. Drizzle with olive oil and season with salt and pepper.
  3. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the salmon is flaky and cooked through.
  4. Optional: Broil for 1-2 minutes at the end for a slightly crispy top.

Option 2: Grilling

  1. Preheat the grill to medium heat and lightly oil the grates.
  2. Brush salmon with olive oil and season with salt and pepper.
  3. Grill for 4-6 minutes per side, depending on thickness, until salmon is cooked through.

3. Serve:

  1. Place the cooked salmon on a plate and drizzle with the chilled lemon dill sauce.
  2. Garnish with fresh dill and lemon slices.
  3. Serve with roasted vegetables, rice, or a fresh salad.
